Lacking energy, they struggled to adapt to a small and difficult pitch. Medhi Benmostefa’s men unleashed their potential in the second half and equalized through Drabli (50) and Fodil (55). They even managed to take the lead with a goal from Boudissa (75). Just when Basseau thought they had control of the match, the home team equalized with an own goal from an Angoumoisin player five minutes before the end.
Poule D
Nieuil l’Espoir 1 – La Roche/Rivières 2
NIEUIL L’ESPOIR. Mi-temps : 1-1. BUTS. La Roche/Rivières : Georges, Aymond.
La Roche/Rivières commence sa saison de manière parfaite en remportant une victoire à l’extérieur contre Nieuil l’Espoir. Champniers 2 – Puymoyen 0
CHAMPNIERS. Mi-temps : 1-0. BUTS. Champniers : Dastugue, E. Rouché.
The first day of the season was marked by an interesting match between ES Champniers and AS Puymoyen. At the beginning of the game, both teams took a cautious approach, favoring long passes to try to push the opponent back. Within the first five minutes, Champniers had the first dangerous opportunity. After a high recovery by Toulemon, the ball was passed to Dastugue, who outpaced the defense. However, his shot lacked precision and did not trouble Puymoyen’s goalkeeper. Both teams clearly showed their desire to leave with points from this match, resulting in an increasingly fragmented game with numerous free kicks and corners. Puymoyen created some interesting chances but failed to put Champniers’ goalkeeper in danger. Finally, on another high recovery by Champniers, the ball was given to Guyonnet, who delivered a good cross to Dastugue’s head. He managed to lob the opposing goalkeeper, scoring the first goal of the match (1-0). The score remained unchanged until halftime.
The second period began with Puymoyen showing better intentions in the game. The two halftime changes proved to be effective and Puymoyen exerted increasing pressure on Champniers. Twice, Bonnaud outpaced his opponent and delivered excellent crosses, but unfortunately for Puymoyen, no teammate was able to exploit them. The match intensified in terms of tension, with both teams increasingly engaging in duels. Eventually, on an unfortunate pass in the center, Bandré managed to intercept the ball and pass it to E. Rouché with the tip of his foot. Rouché adjusted a beautiful left-footed shot to score the second goal for Champniers (2-0). The end of the match was marked by numerous fouls, demonstrating the determination of both teams to preserve their advantage or reduce the gap. With ten minutes left, Puymoyen had a major opportunity to narrow the gap to 2-1, but luck favored Champniers with a brilliant close-range save by M. Fort. Champniers had one last chance at the end of the match when Puymoyen’s defense misjudged a situation. Bandré recovered the ball and presented it to Morisset, who unfortunately missed his shot with an empty net. The match ultimately ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of Champniers. This weekend, it was a match where determination prevailed, and the most united team emerged victorious. This match laid the groundwork for an exciting upcoming season, with both teams determined to achieve great performances.
Limoges Beaubreuil 0 – Soyaux 0
LIMOGES. Mi-temps : 0-0.
For this first R3 match, Yadaly Sakho’s team traveled to Limoges Beaubreuil on a field that offered little hope of seeing any gameplay. The first few minutes were in favor of Soyaux, who had a great opportunity. Ousmane Condé beat the goalkeeper but his dribble was too long and he couldn’t hit the target (4). Soyaux’s defense was well organized and didn’t give much space to the home team. It took until the half-hour mark to see an interesting situation. Tadji Moirabou found Mohammed Ali Addala in a pivot position, but his first-time shot missed the target (28). Soyaux had a scare towards the end of the first half with a free kick near the box, but Mohammed Ali Addala made a good save (45+2).
After returning from the locker rooms, the dynamics change slightly. Less present in duels, the Sojaldiciens are subjected to the opponents’ assaults. After 20 minutes, AS Soyaux pushes forward again. Well found over the defense, Ousmane Condé strikes on first intention but misses the target: (66). The home team reacts immediately and creates their biggest opportunity. The attacker, well positioned, crosses his shot but Gianni Dias deflects the ball (70). The players’ stamina is increasingly tested and both teams become more exposed. Soyaux takes advantage of the opponents’ defensive errors. On yet another long ball, due to the difficult playing conditions, Ousmane Condé is ideally placed in the heart of the penalty area but is beaten to it by the controversial intervention of the defender, which goes unpunished. A few minutes later, Mohamed Ali Addala is also found in a central position. He is destabilized by the first intervention of the defender but manages to beat the goalkeeper before collapsing due to the intervention of a second defender. Once again, the referee does not signal anything (85). The unrewarded Sojaldiciens think they have opened the scoring towards the end of the match. In a confusing situation where the ball bounces several times in the penalty area, Yoan Boa, being the quickest to react, pushes the ball into the net with a furious strike but is penalized by the referee, who deems that the opponent’s goalkeeper was stopped illegally.
Poule G
Bergerac La Catte 1 – Vindelle 2
BERGERAC. Mi-temps : 0-2. BUTS. Bergerac : NC (80). Vindelle : Faure (1), Piton (30).
Vindelle enters the match perfectly and opens the scoring with a goal from Faure, who intercepts an opponent’s pass (0-1, 1). The game is balanced and Vindelle is controlling their part well. The visitors are rewarded with another goal from Piton with a magnificent direct free kick (0-2, 30). After halftime, the Périgourdins push forward but the Charentais resist well. Vindelle, despite wasting some counter-attack opportunities, concedes a goal ten minutes before the end (1-2, 80) but manages to maintain their lead.
Corfou quitte déjà Cognac
Robert Corfou was not on the bench for UA Cognac on Saturday during their victory against Saint-Jean-d’Angély (B) (1-0). The former technical director of Cameroon has decided to leave the club « for personal reasons » before the first day of the championship. The travel time seems to be the cause. The 80-year-old technician, who lives in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne (Charente-Maritime), had to travel over an hour to get to Châteaubernard. Benoit Vulvin, the fitness coach, took over on the bench, but according to reserve team coach Eric Jolly, it is player Mickaël Bourrinet who will succeed Corfou.
