Cornhole is a very popular throwing game in the United States that is now making its way to Charente. The only club in Charente has around thirty members. The concept involves players throwing bags onto a wooden board with a hole in it. Bags that remain on the board earn points. The Bonnieure Throwers have participated in national tournaments in Deux-Sèvres and Île-de-France, as well as international tournaments in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Croatia, and France.
« I cannot reword. »
At the American Cornhole League in Charléty, they had « an amazing experience ». The eight Charentais throwers who participated competed against the world’s best. They exchanged and shared different throwing techniques with other competitors.
They are now playing with the big boys. Adrien Wojtera has earned his spot on the French team and becomes vice world champion with the team. He qualified for the tournament of the top sixteen European singles players and finished in 3rd place. In the tournament of the top sixteen European doubles teams, two teams from the throwers were qualified: Adrien Wojtera and Julien Rivolet on one side, Lucien Conge and Hugo Rivolet on the other.
