« Il s’agit de joueurs extrêmement importants pour l’équipe nationale française », a déclaré Galthié. « La blessure a été un coup dur pour Cyril. Au début, nous avions du mal à évaluer la gravité de celle-ci, qui aurait pu potentiellement le priver de toute la Coupe du monde », a ajouté le capitaine et demi de mêlée Antoine Dupont. « Cela a été une période remplie de déceptions et de doutes, mais la décision de l’encadrement de le maintenir dans le groupe a été un signe fort pour tous. »
On connaît son importance, ça l’a boosté: il a fait les efforts en travaillant quotidiennement pour postuler. C’est un joueur très performant, avec un profil différent: il a un rôle de relais dans notre jeu d’attaque qui nous permet de mettre du rythme et ça nous sera utile », a poursuivi Antoine Dupont.

Avec le retour de Baille, c’est le deuxième pari que remporte Galthié dans sa liste des 33 après celui, express, d’Anthony Jelonch, qui a rejoué face à l’Uruguay un peu plus de six mois après sa grave blessure à un genou.
Danty aussi essentiel
Danty avait raté les deux premiers matches de la Coupe du monde en raison d’une lésion musculaire au niveau d’une cuisse.

« Jonathan Danty is not only a player but also a personality. He has become an integral part of our team. He has a crucial role due to his profile, being a very important player capable of handling various situations, both in attack and defense, as well as in off-ball play, » explained Galthié. The return of these two essential players will allow us to strengthen our performance against Namibia and Italy on October 6th in Lyon, before the quarter-finals. The French team will face a tough challenge against either the world number one Irish team, the South African world champions, or even the Scots, who have been the team that has defeated France the most since Fabien Galthié took charge (three losses).
