At the moment, this Friday, when expressing the reasons for their resignations announced through a statement on Tuesday, the members of the « True Plurality » group wanted to speak… truthfully. « This is not a political move, » asserts Corine Mora. « We have no intention of joining a list for future elections. » Corinne Compan recalls the origin of their commitment. « We were here for the people of Millau with the desire to work together. So, it’s not a matter of ego. » They all agree.
« I cannot reword »
No need, however, to regret the millavoise left alliance in 2020. « We were pioneers, before the Nupes, and that’s what allowed us to win the city. » Emmanuelle Gazel, who « manages the city single-handedly, will no longer have the troublemakers. But it does affect us. »
Could Emmanuelle Gazel be reelected?
Frédéric Laur even suggests the possibility of Emmanuelle Gazel’s re-election. « Maybe we are wrong. » But not to the point of having regrets. Everyone affirms it. « We will continue to defend social issues, » insists Corinne Compan. « We did not commit ourselves to pursue a career, » Bernard Grégoire continues. « Being elected is not a profession. On the contrary, it brings troubles! »
