There is no doubt, Jean-Marc Vayssouze-Faure has just been elected senator by his peers, this Sunday. In the first round, the socialist candidate, who is also the mayor of the city and president of the Grand Cahors, wins by a large margin with 410 votes out of 664 registered electors and 651 voters.
The president of Cauvaldor is the favorite for the second round.
Raphaël Daubet fell just short of securing a seat in the Senate in the first round with 303 votes. In order to achieve an absolute majority of the votes cast, which was 645 voters, the president of Cauvaldor and mayor of Martel needed to reach the threshold of 322 votes. Therefore, he was missing around twenty ballots.
