On Thursday, around forty technical officials from local authorities in the Occitanie region are gathering in L’Isle-Jourdain.
This is a first for the second city of Gers, « Terre de vélo, » committed to technological progress and the well-being of its residents. For the first time, the city is hosting the Association of Territorial Engineers of France (AITF). The association, organizer of this seminar, has developed a program that will alternate between peer exchanges, two presentations from consulting firms, and visits to the two flagship groups in the area: Cyclelab and Parera.
The day will start with a breakfast provided by the town hall and a welcome speech from the president of AITF and the mayor of L’Isle-Jourdain, Francis Idrac. This will be followed by some professional exchanges. Then, a conference on management applied to technical project management will be presented by the consulting and research firm EMC² in the wedding hall.
After the midday break, a representative from Cyclelab group will offer a factory tour and present the activities of Vélo Vallée, a cluster in the Occitanie region responsible for economically bringing together various stakeholders in the bicycle industry.
The consulting and research firm Kandeel will immediately follow with a presentation on cycling, infrastructure, and organization. The group will then visit the Parera group site for a presentation and tour. Established in 1968, Parera has developed its activities in the fields of cartography, topography, network detection, and heritage data management. It supports network operators, local authorities, the entire value chain, property managers, as well as the private sector from maintenance to actual installation and project management assistance. Through its agencies in France and internationally (Côte d’Ivoire and Madagascar), the group supports its partners and clients on a national and international scale.
