L’état de catastrophe naturelle reconnu pour quatre communes

An interministerial order dated July 22, 2023, published in the Official Journal on September 14, 2023, establishes the list of municipalities that have been declared a state of natural disaster due to damages caused by differential ground movements resulting from drought and soil rehydration. The prefecture of Hautes-Pyrénées states that the order approves four municipalities in Hautes-Pyrénées.

The municipalities affected during these periods are from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022: Bazillac, from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022: Castelvieilh, from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022: Montignac, and from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022: Rabastens-de-Bigorre.

People whose houses are affected must report their claim to their insurance company or insurance broker who manages their policies. « Since January 1, 2023, you must send it as soon as possible and no later than 30 days (instead of 10 days) after the publication of the decree in the Official Journal, » specifies the Service public website.
