Aryna Sabalenka a évité de justesse une finale 100% américaine à l’US Open qui semblait pourtant se dessiner: jeudi en demies, après la qualification de Coco Gauff, la Bélarusse a paru sombrer face à Madison Keys avant de finalement s’en sortir au super tie break. « Je ne sais pas comment j’ai réussi à renverser le match. Je voulais tellement atteindre enfin la finale », a commenté la Bélarusse de 25 ans après sa victoire 0-6, 7-6 (7/1), 7-6 (10/5) contre la 17e mondiale, finaliste du tournoi en 2017.
