Rentrée politique et fête républicaine ce samedi 16 septembre, à Pessan dans le Gers, avec le député LR du Lot, Aurélien Pradié, venu à la rencontre des adhérents et sympathisants du Sud-Ouest.
Ambiance Sud-Ouest ce samedi 16 septembre à Pessan qui accueillait le député LR du Lot, Aurélien Pradié. Pour cette rentrée politique, le parlementaire a choisi le Gers afin d’y rencontrer adhérents, élus et sympathisants venus en nombre de toute la région. Au programme de cette pause méridienne : bandas, apéritif et discours devant une assemblée attentive.
And if the parliamentarian chose the Gers, it is for a specific reason. « Roots are essential in politics. Ambition is good, having a long-term vision is great, but remembering where we come from is absolutely essential. And this rurality, deep down, is the one that, in the values we uphold, has given us the most for years, » states Aurélien Pradié.
The latter indeed criticized the current policy as being « disconnected from the field ». Present in a territory where there are « political battles to be fought », the deputy from Lot has shown himself to be close to his fellow citizens. By his side were the former UMP deputy and mayor of Condom, currently a regional councilor, Gérard Dubrac, as well as the president of the LR federation in Gers, Annie Topiac.
Can the Republicans conquer Le Gers?
For this exchange, Aurélien Pradié wanted to convey two messages. The first one is about unity: affirming the beliefs of the political family he represents, here in the Gers region. « Not everything is equal, if we ourselves do not restore these reference points, the only reference points that will exist in democracy will be the far right and the far left, » he explains.

« Je vais là où il y a une conquête à mener, dans le Gers il y en a des belles qui ont été réalisées. Mais il y en encore beaucoup à venir. Le confort c’est pour ceux qui n’aiment pas la politique. Nous avons le tempérament des d’Artagnan. »
