On Sunday, September 17, 2023, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, Secretary of State for Development, announced at the Generation Equality Forum the implementation of a five-year plan to allocate 250 million euros in support of feminist organizations.
According to TF1info, in 2021, the forum made strong commitments, as reported by the Secretary of State. « We must uphold them. We owe it to Iranian women, Afghan women, and all women who suffer injustice and violence worldwide, » she stated.
According to our colleagues, over the past three years, the government has granted a fund of 134 million euros to support 1,000 associations in 75 countries. The Secretary of State proudly states that « France is the leading funder of feminist associations. »
