The supporters of MHSC, known as La Paillade, were blocked at the entrance of Strasbourg stadium for a long time.

Almost deprived of the match. While they had just covered hundreds of kilometers and had been escorted to La Meinau stadium, the approximately one hundred Montpellier supporters were prohibited from entering the venue until a few minutes before kick-off, this Sunday for the Strasbourg-MHSC match.

Situation totalement ubuesque. #RCSAMHSC

The escort had indeed taken place until the parking lot of the Alsatian stadium. Where was the Montpellier delegation held, surrounded by riot police, before a portion could enter the stadium just seconds before kick-off? Before being allowed entry, some Ultras had threatened to go watch the match in the city center. Upon their entrance into the stadium, they were greeted by chants of « freedom for the Ultras » from the Strasbourg fans.

The Montpellier supporters traveled across France to sing for their team.
They are being blocked like livestock in the stadium parking lot, without explanation and without water.
The prefectures treat the supporters as second-class citizens. No respect, no respect.

Un arrêté d’encadrement

To remind you, the local authorities had issued a regulation order – not a travel ban – due to the connections between the supporters of Montpellier and those of the Swiss club Grasshoper Zurich, as well as events that occurred in 2018. This order prohibited movement in the center of Strasbourg and provided for supervised travel by law enforcement.
