During a match in this division, he unintentionally stood out and even became famous. On May 29, 2023, during a game between Stabæk and Vålerenga, Rohit Saggi, on his way back to the locker room, was hit by a bottle thrown from the stands. The object struck him near the head. Although the referee collapsed in shock, he was not injured. It later emerged that the thrower was a young man only 14 years old.
The incident is causing a stir in the Norwegian media, as football is not accustomed to this kind of episode. Journalists and authorities are taking hold of the story. Rohit Saggi, on the other hand, reacts calmly and chooses to use this incident as a teaching moment.

The referee meets the young offender and invites him to experience a football match from the perspective of the man with the whistle, « so that he can realize how difficult it is to be a football referee. » This initiative was later rewarded by the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, the parent organization of the renowned Nobel Peace Prize.
