While passing through the market on Saturday, it was hard to miss the booth of the City officials showcasing composting and the implementation of a free distribution of composters in Grand-Figeac. This awareness campaign follows the AGEC law (anti-waste for a circular economy) of 2020, which requires source separation of biowaste by January 1, 2024.
For households with a garden, the solution is simple to implement: composting on their own property. For residents without a garden, the Syded du Lot is deploying communal composters with the help of the Grand-Figeac Community of Municipalities and its member municipalities. They invite you to participate in a composting awareness event followed by a free distribution of composting kits in various municipalities of the Grand-Figeac. In Capdenac, this will take place on Tuesday, October 24th between 3pm and 7pm at the former recreation center (rue du centre aéré).
Animée par un agent du Syded, cette sensibilisation permettra à chacun de poser toutes les questions sur le compostage et de repartir avec de précieux conseils. A l’issue, il vous sera offert un kit de compostage individuel.
To participate, it is necessary to pre-register through the form on the Grand-Figeac website: www.grand-figeac.fr.
