« Renaissance » strongly criticizes you for participating in a protest scheduled for this Saturday in Lannemezan in support of the release of Georges Abdallah. How do you respond to them?
I have never indicated my presence at this event. The Macron supporters have spread false information published by a digital media close to Eric Zemmour, how amateurish of them! Regarding Georges Ibrahim Abdallah, he is a Lebanese communist activist and advocate for the Palestinian cause, the longest-serving political prisoner in Europe, eligible for release since 1999. I find it absolutely scandalous to link the question of his release to the massacres perpetrated by the terrorist organization Hamas. I strongly condemn war crimes, which could be reclassified as crimes against humanity by international justice, committed against Israeli civilians on Saturday, October 7th.
Comment expliquez-vous l’augmentation de l’hostilité envers les Nupes, et plus particulièrement envers LFI, au cours des 10 derniers jours suite aux événements en Israël ?
This is an exaggerated situation. Essentially, we all agree on the left: we condemn the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israeli civilians, we raise awareness about the indiscriminate response of the Israeli government against Palestinian civilians, we demand respect for international law, a ceasefire, and the resumption of negotiations for a shared future between the two countries, Palestine and Israel.
Pensez-vous que ne pas qualifier les massacres et les attaques perpétrés par le Hamas de « terroristes » devrait automatiquement vous catégoriser en tant qu’islamo-gauchistes ou antisémites, comme beaucoup aiment à vous stéréotyper ?
Parler de crimes de guerre n’atténue en rien la gravité des faits bien au contraire ! Cela permet que les criminels soient jugés et poursuivis devant la Cour pénale Internationale, ce que je souhaite. Le Hamas demeure une organisation terroriste et je suis un adversaire résolu de l’islamisme politique et de tous les fanatismes.
