Titulaire au poste de demi d’ouverture durant ce Mondial, suite au forfait et à la grave blessure de Romain Ntamack, le Bordelais n’a pas prévu de retoucher à un ballon ovale de sitôt. « C’est difficile à accepter et on va mettre du temps à l’accepter. Il va falloir être costaud mentalement par rapport à cela. Là je vais couper avec le rugby pendant dix ou quinze jours, précise-t-il. Je vais essayer de prendre l’air et de me vider la tête. »
