In the minutes following the final whistle, the referee became the target of some supporters. On Sunday, October 15th, the French rugby players were eliminated from the World Cup in the quarter-finals by the South Africans (29-28). It was a highly intense match with a lot of physical confrontations, as expected.

The players from both teams exchanged blows and there were numerous collisions. However, the Springboks’ tackles were not penalized enough by the New Zealand referee, Ben O’Keeffe.
