On Thursday, the South African rugby director, Rassie Erasmus, disclosed on his X account that his scrum-half, Cobus Reinach, had received death threats against him and his son following the France-South Africa World Cup quarter-final.
After the insults directed at referee Ben O’Keeffe, South African scrum-half Cobus Reinach received death threats in a private message on Instagram. Rassie Erasmus revealed this by sharing a photo of the messages received by the Montpellier player on his X account.

« Unfortunately, these threats were made against Cobus Reinach! It is not nice and it upsets a father and mother to see things like this about their son! But we will not complain, we will move forward! » indicates the director of South African rugby, showing a screenshot of the death threats made against the Springbok scrum-half by a French person.
