Madam Mayor, could you provide an update on the progress made by the municipality at the halfway point of your term? What are the accomplishments of this early part of your term that you are proud of?
Nous avons dû, comme partout, faire face à la complexité du début de mandat avec la crise sanitaire. Complexité encore avec le contexte inflationniste et la crise économique. Toutefois les taux d’imposition communaux sont maintenus.
Investments are planned to continue boosting revenue. Acquisition of a residential property and a commercial space: complete renovation of the latter by associations to convert it into a rental property, and installation of an osteopath. Complete renovation of the grocery store space, and installation of a new merchant. All of this will contribute to the communal heritage, with 6 rental units generating revenue.
What are the ongoing or upcoming projects? Which major project will be completed before the end of the term? The renovation and transformation of La Prade into a town hall, ensuring compliance for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM) and public reception, energy renovation of the building, with the aim of preserving heritage. Currently in the final preliminary phase, construction will begin in the first semester of 2024. Some necessary explanations: following the opening of the socio-cultural space L’Amassada, La Prade hall (formerly the community hall and village market) is no longer in use but still incurs expenses.
Comment se déroule votre action pour la commune ?
Mon engagement pour la commune est total. Mon activité professionnelle est entre parenthèses pour remplir la mission confiée. Le statut de l’élu est un sujet que me tient particulièrement à cœur. J’y travaille activement dans le cadre de mes fonctions au sein de l’association des maires ruraux AMR 31. Face aux responsabilités croissantes et à la pénurie de volontaires, nous devons faire évoluer les conditions de mandatures.
