
Gros coup dur pour le Montpellier Handball qui voit son international égyptien Ahmed Hescham, arrivé en provenance de l’USAM Nîmes cet été, d’ores et déjà indisponible jusqu’à la fin de saison. Une blessure qui est survenue lors de la rencontre opposant le MHB à l’USAM Nîmes ce dimanche 15 octobre.
In a statement posted on its website, Montpellier Handball confirms concerns regarding the injury of their left back Ahmed Hesham. « Following the examinations carried out the day after the match between MHB and USAM Nîmes and after consultation with Dr. Cottalorda, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee injuries at Saint-Roch clinic, the diagnosis has been made: a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee, » explains the club, confirming information from Midi Libre.
8 à 9 mois d’absence
The Egyptian international who arrived at MHB this summer will undergo surgery in Montpellier on Thursday, October 19. The club expects him to be unavailable for a minimum of 8 to 9 months. President Julien Deljarry also explained on Europsport that the club has requested to recruit a medical replacement and is actively searching for the right candidate.
