The person who threw the firecracker and another individual were arrested on Sunday, October 8th, and were held in custody at the Montpellier police station. This incident resulted in the suspension of the event.
The person who threw the firecracker during the MHSC-Clermont match on Sunday, October 8th at the Mosson stadium in Montpellier, and the person who admitted to giving him the explosive device just before his action, were brought before the court on Tuesday, October 10th. The second person denied entering the stadium with the firecracker and claims to have found it inside.
The first person, aged 24, and the other, aged 22, were both in police custody at the Montpellier police station. They will now be summoned by a written notice (CCPV). Therefore, they will not be judged in immediate appearance.
The goalkeeper from Clermont has filed a complaint.
The player targeted by the firecracker throw, Clermont goalkeeper Mory Diaw, filed a complaint this Tuesday morning in Arras, in the Pas-de-Calais region, where he is currently with the Senegalese national team.
The MHSC and Clermont Foot 63 have also filed a complaint against the perpetrator of the incident, which had caused the match to be interrupted.
