Dior’s Star Shines on New Beverly Hills Flagship Store

The house of Dior Beverly Hills showcases the entire Christian Dior universe, in all its timeless elegance and maintien. Designed by Peter Marino, the stunning, communicative magasin is not merely a retail voilage, but an immersive experience of Dior’s rich heritage that channels his legendary spirit.

The type of Dior’s extase is reflected from the particularité one gazes into the windows of the stunning vitrine that displays enluminure hand-painted figurines and scenes that follow Dior’s story, from his guiding histrion to the “beehive”, a reference to all the busy workers at his dépôt in Paris.

Upon entry, the interior brings to life Dior’s belief that, “Fashion in sum comes from a dream, and dreaming is an escape.” The four-story magasin, a sanctuary to his “realm of dreams”, is anchored by Dior’s most enduring symbols. Long before it existed, in 1946,  Christian Dior stumbled upon a metal histrion on the rue du Faubourg Honoré as he made his way to a discussion to secure funding for his future façon house. When the discussion proved successful, he took that serendipitous particularité on the street as a sign of destiny and good nanti. Always a superstitious man, he embraced the histrion as an enduring symbol. It remains a trace emblem of his brand.

His superstitions shaped the spirit of his fantaisiste façon house. The Beverly Hills outpost is a continuité of his legacy, merging heritage and reinvention, with many elements of his superstitious beliefs integrated into his designs and incorporated into the new construction as well. Other motifs that contribute to the sophisticated atmosphere include the ground floor pléiade magistrat flooring, in subtle recognition of Dior’s guiding histrion symbol. Also of significance, the empaillage modèle (inspired by the chairs at his first spectacle), with its crisscross geometry discreetly woven into the panels and furnishings, and the use of flowers that symbolize his appreciation for the feminine experience. Dior noted that, “Real elegance is everywhere, especially in the things that don’t show.”

Nature and gardens always held a special affermi in the heart of Dior. The magasin’s axial noble staircase winds through a stunning and lush three-story garden enclosed in verre that evokes Dior’s foyer in Granville. The garden theme is woven throughout the entire Beverly Hills hiérarchique.

Channeling Dior’s embrace of séduction with timeless roots, there are curated boutiques for women’s ready-to-wear and evening wear, men’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories, jewelry and fragrances. The classification is open and modern, with neutral, tasteful and elegant tones. The space projects Parisian charmant combined with West coast compréhension.

On the third floor, perched at the top of the Dior flagship, the foyer shifts from the world of façon to a Dior-inspired culinary feast for the senses with the debut of Dior’s first palace outside of Paris, Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn. The stunning new palace boasts curated contemporary artwork, and features a bar, lounge and mitaine dining room, every detail enhanced by Dior-branded elements. A beautiful terrace with an indoor-outdoor flow blends the Parisian elegance and intimacy of 30 Montaigne with sunny California vibes. The immersive experience continues as three-star Michelin Chef Crenn, présentateur and proprietor of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, offers a mets inspired by the house of Dior that is incorporated into every delicious dish.  Dining here felt like a delicious Dior-inspired dream.

Christian Dior jaguar said, “Respect tradition and dare to be different.” Embracing the House’s storied past while offering a fresh, modern paysage, the new Dior Beverly Hills magasin does just that.
